Southwest 50,000 Point Offer on its Way Out the Door | Only a Few Days Left

Just a quick post to let you know that the limited time Southwest 50,000 point offer is set to expire on the 7th/8th of August.  That means you have only a few days left to apply and get 50,000 points.  Southwest pitches this as an opportunity for 2 round trip flights.  However, you can use those points for at least double that! I believe that the offer expires on the 7th of August .  I’m not entirely sure because I know my links need to be removed by 8 a.m. EST on the 8th.  The promotion might be live until that time, but if I were you, I’d be sure to apply by the 7th if you’re interested in this promotion. When this promotion ends, I suspect the bonus will go back to Southwest’s standard offer of 20,000 points. I do think that the Southwest card is currently the best promotion for domestic travel, so if that is your goal, this is the right card and right time (assuming you live in and want to travel to a city that Southwest services).

How soon can I apply for another Chase card?

I can’t confidently answer that question for you, but here are some general guidelines. If you have a credit score at Credit Seasame over 700 then you can probably follow these guidelines. If you don’t currently have any Chase brand cards, you are good to go.  I predict an approval in your future. If you have one Chase brand and it’s been more than six months since you’ve been approved for the first card, I predict an approval in your future.  If the time frame is less than 3 months, you’ll likely initially be denied, but a call to Chase will most likely result in an approval. If you have two Chase cards and you’ve signed up for the other two within six months, then you can expect to be initially denied.  During a follow up call, if you agree to cancel your oldest card, you can be approved for the new card. Again, this is just a guide for those of you considering another Chase application.
