Multiple Credit Card Application Suggestions

In addition to listing my top credit card picks, I put together a package for newbies that highlights what I think are the best options for multiple same day credit card applications.  This involves applying for a personal card from Chase, American Express, Citi, Barclay’s, and Bank of America.

Why apply for multiple cards on the same day?

  1. It’s the fastest way to super size your frequent flyer mileage account balances and the fastest way to get the miles you need to get your free flights.
  2. You’re more likely to get approved for each card if you apply for all of them at once instead of spreading them out over several weeks.  The reason for this is that since you’re applying on the same day they won’t ‘see’ the other applications as they won’t all post until later.
  3. For logistical reasons, it can be easier to track since after you’ve had them for a year you can also cancel multiple credit cards on the same day.
Below I’ve highlighted the cards I’d apply for today if I were to do multiple applications from each issuing bank.  In the case of Chase and American Express, there are a couple of cards to consider depending on your travel preferences.  You might choose different cards, but for the sake of simplicity, I’ll suggest my favorites.
When you’re ready, you can click on the credit card name below and apply for one card from each issuing bank, and you should be able to get up to 225,000 miles/points in a half hour of work.  Be sure to submit all your applications on the same day!
